Supported Independent Living - CHELTENHAM

Supported Independent Living services are provided to residents who live in shared accommodation. At this residence, 24/7 support is provided by a staff team with specialised skills in supporting people with mental health related disability and intellectual disability, austim spectrum disorder or acquired brain injury.

They'll help you with daily life tasks and support you to develop your skills for independent living - including helping you to connect with activities and other supports in the community. Support is tailored to help you achieve the goals in your NDIS Plan. Tenancy is managed separately by a third party agent.

Site description

This purpose-built home for four residents is in a quiet area of Cheltenham. It has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, communal lounge and kitchen areas, a backyard with BBQ, a small veggie garden and a garage converted into additional living space for residents to enjoy.

Staff have sleepover and office areas on-site. The property offers easy access to public transport, and is close to major shopping and community centres.

Who for:

People whose capacity to live independently is impacted by long-term mental ill-health and other disability (intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, or acquired brain injury) and who have an NDIS package with Supported Independent Living services included to an appropriate level of funding.

How to access:

Applicants must be between 18-64 years of age and have the financial means to pay for the rent/board and utilities. Applicants should be looking for a place suitable for someone with a dual disability.
