Small businesses and sole traders can now provide mental health and wellbeing support for their employees through Mind Australia’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) support services.

Supporting your employees’ mental health can significantly improve productivity and shows your commitment to your staff.

Targeted psychosocial support is our core expertise. The new OHS obligations in Workcover legislation concerning psychosocial hazards in the workplace apply to all states and make this all the more important for small businesses and sole traders to be on top of.

Staff burnout is an especially big issue for small businesses, Adele Henwood, Mind’s General Manager for Specialist National Services said.

“We’ve seen a real need for support for staff and managers who are dealing with the stress of constantly changing environments that comes with operating as a small business or as a sole trader.”

“It’s not just stressors at work that lead to burnout. Often these are exacerbated by concerns and experiences in our personal lives as well.”

The program is designed to be delivered over three sessions, with single sessions available as well to suit your employees’ needs. Sessions will be billed post-delivery, with invoices sent out at the end of the month.
